He earned a BA in Music Theory/ Composition from Eastern Kentucky University where, along with classical composing and arranging, he studied classical violin, guitar, piano and voice. Wendell Mobley is an American country music songwriter who has written number one hits for Rascal Flatts, Kenny Chesney, Randy Houser and others. He was born in Celina, Ohio and began playing in local bands before moving to Nashville, Tennessee. He found a job playing guitar for Jack Greene and Alabama and later became a full-time songwriter.
